  Dr. Richard Blickenstaff is board certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of Idaho and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency from LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, and subsequently Dermatology Residency from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During his training, he had extensive clinical, surgical and research experience. Being double boarded provides a broad knowledge base for understanding the skin manifestations of internal disease. He is the author of several articles and scientific publications and has served in leadership positions in various dermatologic organizations. He is an assistant clinical professor for the University of Washington School of Medicine and a consultant for the Family Practice Residency in Boise. Dr. Blickenstaff has been serving the Treasure Valley since 1988. He and his wife Amy have two children and enjoy tennis, golf, fishing and the Idaho mountains.

  Dr. Nick Blickenstaff, a Boise native, is thrilled to be returning home to serve patients close to his family in Idaho. He is a board-certified dermatologist practicing medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He graduated magna cum laude from UCSD before attending the University of Utah School of Medicine where he earned both a Master of Science in biomedical engineering and his doctorate degree. He completed a dermatopharmacology research fellowship at UCSF before starting his internship at Providence Sacred heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Dr. Blickenstaff then went on to complete his dermatology residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Blickenstaff is highly committed to advancing the field of dermatology. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, dermatology textbook chapters and holds two medical device patents. Dr. Blickenstaff has also completed numerous lectures and professional presentations at local, state and national scientific meetings. Dr. Blickenstaff takes great pride in providing exceptional patient-centered care and spending time to educate his patients about their individual skin condition. Outside of dermatology, he enjoys hiking, fly fishing, scuba diving and being with family and friends.

  Rachel King, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 15 years of experience in both Family Practice and Dermatology. She worked 6 years for another dermatologist, performing the full spectrum of dermatologic care. She joined Ada Dermatology in 2011 and her warm personality brightens the office environment. She received a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in PA studies from the University of Southern Alabama. Rachel provides comprehensive skin care, with special attention to the early detection of atypical moles and skin cancer. When you meet Rachel, you can expect to find a very friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable provider who will listen and provide you with the most up-to-date and sound evidence-based medicine. She enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level. When not in the office she likes to spend time with her husband and two children, participating in a number of outdoor activities.
